滑板运动在2020年夏季奥运会于2021年在日本东京首次亮相[1]。国际奥林匹克委员会还暂时批准在2024年巴黎奥运会上亮相[2]。
争取纳入[编辑]
在2015年9月，滑板运动被列入了一份候选名单，与棒球、垒球、空手道、冲浪和运动攀登一同被考虑纳入2020年夏季奥运会[3]；在2016年6月，国际奥林匹克委员会宣布支持将所有候选运动列入2020年奥运会的提议[4]。最后于2016年8月3日，所有五项运动（将棒球和垒球视为一项运动）获批准纳入2020年夏季奥运会正式比赛项目[1]。滑板被列入奥运项目的最大障碍之一是滑板中可能造成的庞大伤害风险（包括死亡），因此国际奥林匹克委员会不太可能承担责任。此外滑板文化也促使人认为奥运会对这个运动来说太“主流”，因此滑板组织并未积极宣传将这项运动纳入奥运会项目中[5]。
